The Cal Cup Organizing Committee of the Field Hockey Federation, takes pleasure in recognizing top division outstanding participants at the conclusion of Cal Cup competition annually.

1 - Tom Harris Award-Outstanding Player
Tom lived his dream of an international hockey facility in Moorpark, California. Tom worked to secure funding, much of it his own, promoting local men’s hockey activity, creating the Cal Cup International Field Hockey Tournament more than 50 years ago. He has been an integral part of Field Hockey Federation* ensuring that clubs grow, and that the game he loves is in safe hands with new volunteers. He designed and supervised construction of the Harris Family Stadium. Tom was inducted into the USA Field Hockey & US Men's Field Hockey Foundation ** Hall of Fame in 2017.
2 - Ross Rutledge Award- Top Scorer
Ross played on the Canadian National Team for 13 years, and competed at the Los Angeles and Seoul Olympics. He also played in the Premier League in Perth, Australia, and was drafted to play professionally in Queensland. Ross coached, encouraged, and inspired field hockey players at all levels, having created a player development program for his home club. He was a prolific goal scorer, an innovative coach and a tremendous ambassador of the sport. Ross was a regular participant and contributor to the success of the Cal Cup.
3 - David Harris Award-Outstanding Goalkeeper
David was a pioneer for male youth hockey development, a loving father, coach, FIH Umpire, and USA National Team goalkeeper. David helped construct the Harris Family Stadium in Moorpark, California. David was inducted into the US Men' s Field Hockey Foundation Hall of Fame in 2018 before he lost his battle with cancer.
4 - Walt Robbins Award-Outstanding Young Player
Walt spent over 20 years growing and supporting hockey in Ventura County, Ca. He was an advocate for youth interested in playing field hockey. Walt was participated in construction of the Harris Family Hockey Stadium. He also served in many positions on the Field Hockey Federation* Board, including President for several years. Walt chaired the Cal Cup Tournament for six years in the 1990s during which time the Harris Family Stadium became operational. Walt was inducted into the US Men's Field Hockey Foundation** Hall of Fame in 2019.

**The US Men’s Field Hockey Foundation (USMFHF) was established after the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and has provided support to USA men's National teams-Senior, Junior, Indoor and Masters. It has helped fund turfs in Moorpark, Madison and Chula Vista and has been the main supporter of the USA Men's Indoor team, helping the team prepare, qualify for and compete in Indoor World Cups in 2003 and 2011.
